Chlamydomonas mutabilis Species: Cell body elongated ellipsoidal, 17-25 μm long, 7.5-15 μm wide; papilla present, conical or broad conical; chloroplast cup-shaped, with posterior inner cavity; a pyrenoid centrally located; stigma longitudinally elongated, located at anterior half of the cell surface; nucleus anterior (Süßwasserflora von Mitteleuropa 9, Chlorophyta I, 1983).
