Species: 198-360 μm long, 20-40 μm wide; long cylindrical, somewhat flattened and slightly-twisted; anterior end rounded, posterior end pointed; numerous discoid chloroplasts; many rod-shaped paramylon (paramylum) bodies; no pyrenoids; nucleus big, cylindrical, lying in the center; stigma large (Zakrys, 1986).
