The Iranian wild strain was supplied through Professor D. A. Austin's aid.
The hypocotyl has a tinge of light red and the cotyledons are small and green. There are epidermal hairs to the hypocotyls and to the cotyledonary petiole. The leaf is three-pointed, very big and is the main lobe-wide type. The plant is vigorous. The distinguishing characteristic of this strain is its intensely yellow leaves. Other characteristics include precocious blooming (blooming begins at the end of June in Shizuoka-city), a blue corolla, a white flower tube, a flower diameter of 5 to 6 cm, and white calyx epidermal hairs. One flower is observed per peduncle. The flower is a darker shade of blue than that of Peking Tendan.
