Seeds of this strain were collected by Mr. Sintarou Sugiyama near Sao Paulo, Brazil, in 1981. The hypocotyl has a tinge of light red. The cotyledons are narrow and small, and the cotyledonary veins have a little reddish tinge. There are almost no epidermal hairs to the hypocotyls or to the cotyledonary petiole. The leaf is wide and big, and the main lobe is the wide type. The plant is among the most vigorous. The flower is an extreme light blue and the flower tube is white. Extremely light-brown epidermal hairs extend to the calyx. Very late blooming (middle to late September in Shizuoka-city). One or two flowers are generally observed per peduncle, but there can be three frequently and sometimes four.
