Morning glory Ipomoea nil (= Pharbitis nil)

Kaburaba, Turnip leaf, Hederacea leaf, dragonfly (coH, dg)

Copyright 1998-2017 Yoshiaki Yoneda

When a dragonfly leaf is combined with a Hederacea leaf, the side lobes become constricted. These lobes are more slender than the main lobe, presenting a turnip-like form; the main lobe corresponds to a spherical tap root while the side lobes resemble the leaves of a turnip. So it is named turnip leaf by the writer.
