Morning glory Ipomoea nil (= Pharbitis nil)

Australia-1, Panoramic view

Flower is large and light grayish-blue. Flower tube white. Extremely late flowering. The first flower opened on August 13 after 10 sessions of 16-hour dark treatment from July 13 to 27, 2001. The flower buds were recognized in early October under natural conditions at Shizuoka city. (583-1 2001.9.15 photo by YY)
