Morning glory Ipomoea nil (= Pharbitis nil)

Tokyo Kokei Standard-12, TKS-12, Young capsule

Generally one flower per peduncle, but there can be two or, rarely, three flowers per peduncle. The capsule ripens fully after flowering within 40 days. The sepal length of the young capsule of this figure is 2.1 cm. There is white hair on the sepal. (592-26 2001.10.19 photo by YY)
